(Massillon): After a relatively short business life, efforts to bring back the Sugar Bowl in downtown Massillon have apparently come to an end. Bill Weaver, the owner of The Sugar Bowl reportedly made the decision to close due to continued financial loss primarily related to Covid. Mr. Weaver is not alone. It is reported that thousands of restaurants across the nation closed their doors due to the Covid Pandemic thus far.
Mr. Weaver plans to move the candy side of the business, which includes the original Sugar Bowl recipes to ‘A Victorian Reflection’, his other business across the street which will feature flowers, gifts and now the Sugar Bowl candies. We wish him well.
